How to grow long hair naturally

So I may have SUPER long hair now, but that wasn’t always the case!  Yes, I’ve always had long hair…but it came to a point just around my shoulders where it seemed to just STOP growing.  No matter how long I waited to get a haircut, it just wasn’t getting any longer.  I looked into getting extensions, but that seemed like a a huge waste of time and money.  I tried taking extra vitamins, but that made me feel sick. I didn’t want to do any chemical filled shampoos or masks. So, I started testing out some other “natural” options.

And GUESS WHAT?! It worked!

Little by little, my shoulder length hair grew farther and farther down my back. People started commenting on how amazing my hair looked.  I was constantly hearing things like “I can’t believe how long your hair is!”  Now, instead of avoiding haircuts, I actually NEED them quite often.

So, if you want your hair to get longer…read on!

No supplements, no chemicals, no extensions…just “au naturale”

Just remember, growing your hair out is a journey.  You aren’t going to magically wake up with princess hair tomorrow.  Try to incorporate some of these tips, and you will start to notice a difference, little by little.  Eventually, someone will comment on your hair…and then you will look in the mirror…and realize…Wow! My hair is SO long!

Just take your time…

Here we go…

Let us take a look at some of my top tips to grow long hair naturally.

Tip #1:  Coconut Oil.

Coconut oil hair masks are a deep nourishing treatment that will instantly plump up lifeless locks.  This type of oil can actually penetrate the shaft of your hair and get deep into each strand.

Tip #2:  Stimulate the Scalp.

Giving yourself a scalp massage will stimulate the blood vessels under your skin to increase hair growth.  Not only that, it can actually stretch your hair follicles to encourage them to grow thicker hair.

Tip #3:  Stop Washing Your Hair!

Constantly washing your hair dries out your scalp, making it tough for hair to grow with all that dead skin clogging up the follicles.  Are you thinking “No way will I go a day without washing my oily hair?” Guess what? They have dry shampoo now. Try it. It’s a miracle worker.

Tip #4:  Braids.

Braids are a great way to protect your hair from breakage. Whether you are doing something active, or even just sleeping, it’s important to protect those strands at all times.  PLUS, it’s a great way to style your hair without using heat (another long hair killer).
