Review: Alba Botanica Very Emollient Lotion – Coconut Rescue

We often think about anti-aging products for our face…but don’t forget about the rest of your body! Your skin covers your ENTIRE BODY and your skin needs TLC all over. One of the best ways to keep your skin looking young and healthy is to keep it moisturized!

My main problem with body lotions is the toxins found in SO many of them. It’s really tough to find a good one. Some of them are watery or sticky…some of them smell way too strong…some of them come in tiny tubes that last maybe two weeks…some of them just don’t seem to do anything at all!

This lotion solves all of those issues…

What is it?

This is an ultra hydrating body lotion. It’s powered by the amazing coconut – coconut milk and coconut oil! It’s also packed with other moisturizing ingredients like aloe vera, shea butter, and sunflower seed oil. It’s good enough to work for very dry, irritated skin.

How it feels?

It feels super creamy and moisturizing. I love rubbing this all over my body after a shower. It absorbs quickly and doesn’t leave me feeling sticky. I can actually put clothes on right away without worrying about ruining them!

My thoughts…

I really love this lotion. The smell transports me to a tropical island every time I use it.

If I close my eyes long enough, I might even forget that I’m in my tiny apartment and not sprawled out on a beach towel in the Caribbean.

I especially like how easily it soaks into my skin. My skin tends to get super dry and this instantly makes it look and feel better.

It’s super thick and creamy, but it doesn’t take too much effort to rub it all the way in. I try to take my time and enjoy it because the smell is that incredible.

It even works on my super dry hands. I’ve been washing my hands a ton lately. Since I’ve made a habit of using this several times a day, my once dried up/cracked hands are smooth again. The only issue is it doesn’t seem to soak into my hands as well as the rest of my body. They tend to feel a bit sticky after I use it…but don’t worry, it doesn’t last long! After a few minutes, my hands are soft again.

The lotion comes in a huge container so it lasts a long time. It has an easy pump dispenser so I don’t get the bottle all greasy every time I use it.

Overall, this lotion is a win that I will continue to buy again and again.

Pro-tip:  Apply it after your shower to seal in that moisture! Take your time and enjoy the experience!
